However, whether he understood or not, the people around him present in the session fully understood and vehemently nodded in agree- ment. If a man falsely claims to be representing God and commands obedience of others on this strength, in reality he is trying to misappropriate the authority of God. The same is discussed by Allah in relation to all Prophets as beginning with Adam as. The precondition for obedience to Adam as is for him to be obedient to Allah. Only when he bows his head to the revelation he receives is he authorised to expect obedience to himself from others. Hence, obedience to Adam as is tantamount to obedience to God otherwise no one is bound to obey Adam as. After this explanation if you re-read the verses relating to the obedience to Adam as , you would comprehend this subject much better. In Chapter Sa d, the Holy Quran relates: When your Lord said to the angels, 'I am about to create man from clay, And so when I have fashioned him in perfection, and have breathed into him of My Spirit, fall you down in submission to him. ' (S u rah Sa d; Ch. 38: Vs. 72-73)
