(S u rah H u d; Ch. 11: V. 18) Then there are the verses of S u rah al-Bur u j 2-8 carrying the same argument further: By the heaven having mansions of stars, And by the Promised Day, And by the testifier and the one who is testified, favour the witness is borne, Cursed be the people of the trenches, The fire fed with fuel − As they sat by it, And they witnessed what they did to the believers. (S u rah al-Bur u j; Ch. 85: Vs. 2-8) These multiple testimonies are required in support of one whose era was to be continued until the end of time. If the testimonies in support of him were to be confined only to the past, their evidence would appear to the future generations only as confined to history. The mention in the Holy Quran of a powerful witness to appear in the future in favour of the Holy Prophet sa , further strengthens the testimony of Moses as in his favour. This is not just a prophecy but the testimonies in favour of that witness comprise many others which have already been fulfilled by now.
