When it draws man’s attention to ponder over these matters, evidently it means that the people of the Holy Prophet’s sa age could only have entertained a vague idea of how this system worked. A man at the time of the revelation of the Holy Quran knew of course that the water was raised from the oceans and returned to the same through rains on plains and upon mountains. However, he could not have had the foggiest idea as to what scientific laws were responsible for raising and purifying water from the oceans. Little did he know that during the same process high voltage electricity is created. He was also unaware that the turning of water vapours suspended in the air back to heavy droplets of water, required the interplay of opposed electrical charges.
