— Part II 230 from Medina. They migrated from Medina to Khaibar where they built a most formidable fort, by the name of the Fort of Khaibar. Having gathered strength, they renewed their insurgencies against Islam. There is no need to go into details, but their belligerency was finally brought to halt after the Battle of Khaibar. Prior to this battle Muslim surveillance parties were sent into the area from time to time. Once it so happened that a Muslim surveillance party plundered one of their settlements and destroyed the fruits in their orchards. When the Holy Prophet sa heard of this, he was extremely displeased. He admonished the Muslims: 'Allah does not permit you to enter into the homes of the People of the Book without their consent. Similarly, it is unlawful to kill their women or to take fruit from their orchards. ' 36 In short, despite extreme religious enmity on the part of the Jews, the Holy Prophet’s sa verdict was always, in keeping with the Quranic teachings, in accordance with the demands of absolute justice. Absolute justice during the act of testimony is admonished, even against one’s own kith and kin. The Holy Quran observes:
