— Part I 128 In comparison, the most elementary concept of economic justice mentioned in the Quran is wider than the socialist ideal. In socialist societies water is not guaranteed, perhaps under the false notion that it is not important enough to be mentioned. The facts and figures as presented by the experts convey a completely different story. A very large number of human beings living in Africa and Asia barely survive on a meagre supply of water which, more often than not, is unhealthy and unfit for human consumption. Lately, the importance of water and the right to have access to a sufficient supply of healthy water is being taken seriously by the relevant organisations of the United Nations. Imagine, therefore, the excellence of this Quranic concept of Paradise, where at its very rudimentary level the importance of water is recognised and is not taken for granted. The Development of the Institution of Prophethood The institution of Prophethood continued after Adam as and it is likely that Prophets as appeared in this world after Adam as and before Noah as.
