Also, the creative principles which run through all the evolutionary stages are all strictly governed by either complete unconsciousness or the intuitive operation of various kinds of balance. As has been emphasised before, only man reaches the third higher stage of consciousness. Through billions of years of progress, life is constantly ushered into a gradually raised level of awareness. All that was meant and aimed at was the attainment of the final stage of conscious justice. This was essential for the further progress of human mind and soul, and for the journey to the unknown forms of a higher and more ethereal forms of existence. Each rung of this progressive ladder is made of ‘Adl. No higher forms of existence can be reached without moving from one stage of ‘Adl to another stage of ‘Adl. Justice was to give birth to I h s a n and I h s a n was to be transformed ultimately into that sublime relationship referred to as I t a ’i Dhil-Qurb a (treatment of others like one’s kindred). In short, the expression of ‘Adl has a special bond with consciousness of actions and behaviour. It is used to describe the behaviour of human beings, as their actions are determined by full consciousness and they do not have the tendency to sway in the direction of the left or the right. Here begins a new stage of life.
