MANY JEWS PROFESSED BELIEF IN TORAH. BUT DO NOT ACT ON ITS COMMANDMENTS مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ حُمِلُوا التَّوْرَنَةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ. E يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارً ا بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِنَايَتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ ). The likeness of those who were made to bear the law of. Torah, but would not bear it, is as the likeness of a donkey carrying a load of books. Evil is the likeness of the people who reject the Signs of Allah. And Allah guides not the wrongdoing people. (62:6). PEOPLE OF MOSES BROKE THE COVENANT. WITH GOD AND PERVERTED THE TORAH. D PER فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِيثَقَهُمْ لَعَنْهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَسِيَةٌ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَوَاضِعِهِ، وَنَسُوا حَظَّامَمَا ذُكَرُوا بِهِ وَلَا نَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى خَابِنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلا ةِ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَأَصْفَحْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ ہم. So, because of their breaking their covenant, We have cursed them, and have hardened their hearts. They pervert the words from their proper places and have forgotten a good part of that with which they were exhorted. 85
