يَسْتَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْأَهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِيَ مَوَقِيتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَالْحَج. Allah says:. They ask you about new moons. Say, they are means for measuring time for the general convenience of people and for the pilgrimage. (2:190). Allah says: إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَبٍ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ. The number of months with Allah has been 12 months by Allah's ordinance since the day when He created the heavens and the earth. (9:36) ar وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجوم لمهتدوا بها في ظُلمتِ البَر وَالْبَحْرِ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ. S. He it is who has made for you the stars, that you may follow the right direction with their help in the darkness of the land and the sea. (6:98) 33
