The solar system with its sun, moon, planets and stars. is a well-ordered and well regulated system which has existed for millions of years, never having once suffered. the slightest disorder or deviation in the movement of these bodies. . The Holy Quran tells us that the heavenly bodies float through. space or ether. It contradicts the view held that sun is stationary and that the heavens were solid in their formation as was believed for a long long time. It tells us that all celestial and terrestrial bodies perform their allotted tasks regularly, punctually without trespassing on one another's sphere of action. 29
