100. BE KIND TO PARENTS وَاعْبُدُوا اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا وَبِالْوَالِدَين إحْسَنًا وَبِذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَمَى وَالْمَسَكِينِ وَالْجَارِ رى القُرْبَى وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَنكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا ). Worship Allah and do not associate anything as partner with Him and show kindness to parents and to next of kin, and orphans, and the needy, and to neighbours whether relatives or not and those who keep company with you, and those on journey and those who are under your authority. Surely Allah loves not the arrogant and the boastful. (4:37) وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَناً إما يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَا أي وَلَا تَنهرُهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَارَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرَانِ. Your Lord has commanded: Worship none but Him, and show kindness to parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your lifetime, never reproach them nor speak harshly to them. Always address them respectfully and lower to them the wing of humility out of tenderness and say: My Lord, Be kind to them as they looked after me in my childhood. (17:24,25)
