84. Allah says:. Surely, We sent down the Torah wherein was guidance and light. By it did the Prophets, who were obedient to. Us, judge for the Jews, as did the godly people and those learned in the Law; for they were required to preserve the. Book of Allah, and because they were guardians over it. . Therefore fear not men but fear Me; and barter not My. Signs for a paltry price. And whoso judges not by that which Allah has sent down, these it is who are the disbelievers. (5:45) ثُمَّ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ تَمَا مَا عَلَى الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلًا لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَعَلَّهُم بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ. Again, We gave Moses the Book-completing the favour upon him who did good, and an explanation of all necessary things, and a guidance and a mercy that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord. (6:155). GOD TOOK A COVENANT FROM MOSES AND. HIS PEOPLE TO HOLD FAST THE. TEACHINGS OF TORAH وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيتَقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُوا ماء اتيتكم بقوة وَاذْكُرُوا مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ). God said to Moses:. And remember the time when We took a covenant from you and raised high above you the Mount, saying: 'Hold fast that which We have given you and bear in mind what is therein, that you may be saved. ' (2:64)
