It was resolved that for the time being eight hundred cop- ies of the draft of Wa s iyyat should be printed. Moreover, it should also be published in al- H akam and Badr. 3. It was resolved that the following instructions be sent to the testators for compliance. Moreover, the said instruc- tions should also be printed below the Wa s iyyat Form. a. If need be, the testator may ask for the draft form of the Wa s iyyat , copy it on a plain paper and where there are blanks in the form, fill them in as required by his/her personal circumstances. Strong and dura- ble paper should be used for the purpose of writing. b. Wherever possible, the Wa s iyyat should be reg- istered and heirs or, where applicable, those who have jointly made ,1 should put their signa- tures on as witnesses, and along with them two respectable persons of the town/city or village should also be made witnesses to. 1. In the beginning it was permissible for several individuals (such as members of a family) to make a joint Will. Later this practice was dropped. [Publishers]
