Where Did Jesus Die? — Page 77

Chapter Six—Modern Medical Opinion 77 In the Orient there is a religious community founded on the faith that Jesus lived after crucifixion, walked after- wards towards India, and at last, under the name of Izza (Issa) settled down in Srinagar (the town of happiness), in the beautiful valley of Kashmir. There he is said to have lived till he was 120 years old, and he lies buried there. They say that his name is Yuz Asaf. The name of this com- munity is according to Enzuklopadie des Islam , 1913, B, page 218, Ahmadiyya. This free opinion of a very eminent medical authority of Sweden, given after a careful examination of the accounts of the Gospels should leave no doubt that Jesus did not die on the cross, and if he had been examined by any medical authority, when he was taken down from the cross, he would certainly have certified accordingly.
