Chapter Twelve— The Unknown Life of Jesus Buddhists and Jesus Another proof that Jesus as did go to India is the ancient Buddhist writings in which it is explicitly mentioned that Jesus as proceeded to India and preached the word of God here and there. John Pinkerton in his book of travels, published in 1811, says: Several missionaries have imagined, that in the ancient books of the Lamas, some traces remain of the Christian religion; which as they think, was preached there in the time of the Apostles. 1 1.
