HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD 77 ؟ ص - strongly articulated s. ضd – similar to the English th in this. ط - strongly articulated palatal t. جظ – strongly articulated z. ع a strong guttural, the pronunciation of which must be learnt by the ear. غ a sound similar to the French r in grasseye, and to the German v. It requires the muscles of the throat to be in the 'gargling' position to pronounce it. قq - a deep guttural k sound. د a sort of catch in the voice. Short vowels are represented by: a for i for و и for (like u in bud). (like i in bid). (like oo in wood). Long vowels by: ۱ ā for for for و Other vowels by: or î (like a in father). or ۱ (like ee in deep). (like oo in root). ai for aufor (like i in site). (resembling ou in sound).
