45 HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD کار دنیا را چه استحکام در چشم شماست یا مگر از دل بروں کر دید موتِ اوّلیں Do you deem this palatial world to be very secure? Or have you forgotten the passing away of those who preceded you? دور موت آمد قریب اے غافلاں فکرش کنید دورِ مے تاکے بخوبان لطیف و مہ جبیں O heedless people! Be worried, for the time of death has drawn nigh; How long will you continue to revel in the company of elegant and beautiful women? نفس خود را بستہ دنیا مدار اے ہوشمند درنه تلخی با به بینی وقت انفاس پسیس O wise one! Do not chain yourself to the world, Lest you suffer immense torment at the time of your death. دل مده الا بدلدارے کہ حُسنش دایم ست تا سرور دائمی یابی ز خير المحسنين Do not give your heart to anyone except the One whose beauty is everlasting, So that you attain everlasting bliss from the Best of Benefactors. ہو شیارے آنکہ مست روئے آن یار حسیں آن خرد مندی که او دیوانه راهش بود Sane is the one who pursues His path like a madman; Sober is the one who is intoxicated by the countenance of that beautiful Beloved. ہر کہ نوشید ست اُو ہر گز نہ میرد بعدا زیں بست جام عشق او آب حیات لازوال The goblet of His love holds the water of eternal life; Whosoever drinks from it shall never taste of death thereafter.
