( Tafs ī r Hadrat Mas ī h Mau’ u d , vol. 2, pp. 274, 2:156) ________ O _________ ْ وَارْزُقْنِي and provide for me While most of the prayers in Jilsah apply to our spiritual needs, the prayers of ‘grant me health’ ( ْ عَافِنِي ) and ‘provide for me’ ( ارْزُقْنِيْ ) apply primarily to our worldly needs. The Holy Prophet sas advised someone to pray, “O Allah, forgive me ( اغْفِرْلِي ), have mercy upon me ( ارْحَمْنِي ), grant me health ( عَافِنِي ), and provide for me ( ارْزُقْنِي ),” and he collected his fingers together except his thumb and said: “It is in these words (that there is supplication) which sums up for you (the good) of this world and that of the Hereafter.
