77 was signed, followed by a three-year period of peace, that Muslim numbers started to grow at a comparatively much faster rate. This treaty itself demonstrates how earnestly Prophet Muhammad sa wanted peace. Some of the features of this treaty are as follows: These are the conditions of peace between Muhammad sa , son of ‘Abdullah, and Suhail ibn ‘Amr, the envoy of Makkah. There will be no fighting for ten years. Anyone who wishes to join Muhammad sa and to enter into any agreement with him, is free to do so. Anyone who wishes to join the Quraish and to enter into an agreement with them is also free to do so. A young man, or one whose father is alive, if he goes to Muhammad sa without permission from his father or guardian, will be returned to his father or guardian.
