That too is charity (Bukh ā r ī and Muslim). #141 ‘ Ā ’ishah ra relates that some desert Arabs came to the Holy Prophet sa and asked: Do you kiss your children? He answered: Yes. They said: We never kiss them. He said: Can I help it if Allah has stripped your hearts of compassion? (Bukh ā r ī and Muslim) #228 Jar ī r ibn ‘Abdull ā h ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa said: Allah has no mercy for him who has no mercy for his fellows (Bukh ā r ī and Muslim). #229 Ab ū Qat ā dah Ḥ ar ī th ibn Rab ī ’ relates that the Holy Prophet sa said: I stand up to lead the Prayer having it in mind to lengthen it. Then I hear the cry of an infant and I shorten the Prayer fearing lest I should make it burdensome for its mother (Bukh ā r ī ). #233 Anas ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa said: No one believes truly until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself (Bukh ā r ī and Muslim). #238
