3 Then, on line 8 of page 374 of the same book Nawwab Siddiq Hasan Khan writes: ‘After this victory, the Mahdi will invade, and conquer, India. And the King of India will be brought before him, with an iron collar, put around his neck, and all the treasures and banks of the Government will be plundered. ’ This point is further explained on page 64 of Iqtarab-us- Sa’ah, lines 13 to 18, as follows, ‘The kings of India will be brought before the Mahdi with iron collars put around their necks; and Bayt-ul- that are weak and Majruh ( مَجْرُوح ); or, are such that, on account of their mu - tual contradictions and inconsistencies, they have become unreliable. And ei - ther no known Compilers of Hadith has mentioned them; or has mentioned them by pointing out their defects or unreliability. And they have not authenticated their Riwayat ( رِوَایَت ) i. e. , they [the Compilers] have not borne witness to the truthfulness and integrity of the narrators.
