( as-S i ratus-Sawiyy f i A h w a lil-Mahd i , p. 49–50) These people, however, will not listen unless we find some- thing similar in the writings of their proclaimed ‘Thinker of Islam. ’ With due diligence we found the following in a letter published in Iqb a l N a mah , volume 1, page 41, addressed to Mr. Sir a j-ud-D i n P a l. It reads: My wish is that Maul a n a Ni zami ’s prayers be heard and the Holy Prophet sa may come back again and teach the Indian Muslims his religion again. According to ‘All a mah Iqb a l, the revival of Islam is not possi- ble without the re-advent of the Holy Prophet sa.
