PRAYERS 59 befriend. Grant blessings in whatever You bestow. Safeguard me from the harmful effects of Your decree. Surely, You decree and there is never a decree against You. Whosoever befriends You, is never humiliated. Whosoever is Your enemy, is not respected. You are the Blessed One. O our Lord, You are the Exalted One. Peace and blessings be upon the Holy Prophet sa. Kh a lid bin Ab i ‘Umar ra relates that the angel Gabriel taught the Holy Prophet sa this Du‘ a ’-e-Qun u t ; ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِﻧَّﺎ ﻧَﺴ [ِﺘَﻌ ْ ْ ﻨُک َ و َ ﻧَﺴ ُ ﺘَﻐ ْ ﻔِﺮُک َ وَﻧ ْ ﺆ ْ ﻣِﻦ ُ ﺑِک َ وَﻧَﺘَﻮLََّﻞ ُ 2َﻠَﻴ Öُک َ وَﻧ ِْ ْىن 2َﻠَﻴ َْ َْ ک َ اخل ْ ري ْوَﻧَﺸ َْ کُﺮُک َ وَﻻ َ ﻧَک ُْ ﻔُﺮُک َ وَخن ْ ﻠَﻊ ُ وَﻧَرت ْک ُ ﻣَﻦ َ ﻳَّﻔ ْ ﺠُﺮُک ِّْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِﻳَّﺎک َ ﻧَﻌ ْﺒُﺪ ُ وَﻟَک َ ﻧُﺼَ_ ْ وَﻧَﺴ ْ ﺠُﺪ ُ وَاِﻟَﻴ َْ ک َ ﻧَﺴ ٰ و َ حنÑ ُ ْﻔِﺪ ْ وَﻧَﺮ َﺟُﻮ ر ْ ﺣ ﻤﺘ َْ ْ وَخن ْ áٰ 2َﺬَاﺑَکَ اِنَّ 2َﺬَاﺑَکَ ﺑِﺎﻟ ٌ کُﻔَّﺎرِﻣُﻠ ﺤِﻖ. 91 O All a h , we beg to You alone for help and from You alone we seek forgiveness. And we believe in You and trust in You alone. We offer best praise to You and thank You and we are not ungrateful. We cast off and forsake the one who disobeys You. O All a h , to You alone we offer worship and offer s al a t and prostrate to You. To You we run and present ourselves for service. We hope for Your mercy and we fear Your chastisement, surely Your chastisement would reach the disbelievers. NOTE: This famous prayer is found in the following books without any change in the words.
