PRAYERS 19 but also arranged a home and a wife for him. 22 ِّ ِّْرَب إِين َملَِﺎ ََّأَﻧْﺰَﻟْﺖ ْإِيل ٍْﻣِﻦ ٌْ ﺧَري ﻓَﻘِري. (Al-Qa s a s 28:25) O my Lord, a beggar I am of whatever good You bestow upon me. 40. Prayer for Sustenance and Peace All the prayers that the Hadrat Ibr ahi m as (Abraham) recited when he was building the Ka‘bah were accepted. These prayers were for Makkah to be a peaceful town, its inhabitants to receive sustenance and his progeny to be saved from idolatry and associating partners with God. 23 ِّ ْرَب اﺟْﻌَﻞ ﻫٰﺬَا ٰﺑَﻠَﺪًا ا َّﻣِﻨًﺎ ْ و ٗارْزُق َأَﻫْﻠَﻪ ٰﻣِﻦ ِ اﻟﺜَّﻤَﺮ ْت ٰﻣَﻦ َ ا ْﻣَﻦ ِّٰﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢ ِﺑِﺎ ْٰوَاﻟْﻴَﻮْم اﻻ ﺧِﺮِ. (Al-Baqarah 2:127) My Lord, make this a town of peace and provide with fruits such of its dwellers as believe in All a h and the Last Day. 41. Prayer for Spiritual and Worldly Advancement of Children The prayer Hadrat Ibr ahi m as (Abraham) offered for the spiritual and worldly advancement of his progeny was: ِّرَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ُإِين ْأَﺳْﻜَﻨْﺖ ِْﻣِﻦ ٍذُرِّﻳَّيت ِْﺑِﻮَاد 5َْري ٍذِي َزَرْع َﻋِﻨْﺪ ِﺑَ[ْﺘِﻚ املُْﺤَﺮَّم ْرَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ﻟِﻴُﻘِﻴ ﻤُﻮا َ اﻟﺼَّﻠٰﻮ ْة ًﻓَﺎﺟْﻌَﻞ ِّأَﻓْﺌِﺪَة َ ﻣ ِﻦ ْاﻟﻨَّﺎس َْﻮِيْ ْإِﻟَﻴْﻬِﻢ َوَارْزُﻗْﻬُﻢ ٰﻣِﻦ ِ اﻟﺜَّﻤَﺮ ْت ْﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻬُﻢ ﻳَﺸْﻜُﺮُو نَ. (Ibr a h i m 14:38) ‘Our Lord, I have settled some of my children in an uncultivable valley near Your Sacred House, our Lord that they may observe Prayer. So make men's hearts incline towards them and provide them with fruits, that they may be thankful. ’
