PRAYERS 3 Christianity who recognized and accepted truth and prayed. َ ّٰ رَﺑَّﻨ ْ ﺎآﻣَﻨَّﺎﻓَﺎ ﻛْﺘُ;ْﻨَﺎ ﻣَﻊ َ اﻟﺸ ِّ ﻬِﺪِﻳ ِّٰ وَﻣَﺎﺟَﺎءَﻧَﺎﻣِﻦ َ احلَْﻖ َ ﻦَ وَﻣَﺎﻟَﻨَﺎﻻَﻧُﺆْﻣِﻦ ُ ﺑِﺎ َ و ّٰ ﻧَﻄْﻤَﻊُ أَنْ ﻳُﺪْﺧِﻠ َْ ﻨَﺎرَﺑُّﻨَﺎﻣَﻊ َ اﻟْﻘَﻮْم ِ اﻟﺼ ﻠِﺤِني. (Al-M a’ idah 5: 84-85) Our Lord, we believe, so write us down among those who bear witness. And why should we not believe in All a h and in the truth, which has come to us, while we earnestly wish that our Lord should include us among the righteous people? 3. Prayer for Affirmation of Faith and its Acceptance When the apostles of Hadrat ‘ I s a as (Jesus) saw rejection from every quarter they raised this proclamation in his support, believed in him and prayed in these words: ْ ّٰ رَﺑَّﻨَﺎآﻣَﻨَّﺎمبَِﺎأَﻧْﺰَﻟْﺖَ وَاﺗَّﺒَﻌْﻨَﺎاﻟﺮَّﺳُﻮ ﻣَﻊ َ اﻟﺸ ْ لَ ﻓَﺎ ﻛْﺘُ;ْﻨَﺎ ﻬِﺪِﻳ ﻦَ. ( A l-e-‘Imr a n 3:54) Our Lord we believe in that which You have sent down and we follow this Messenger, So write us down among those who bear witness. 4. Hadrat Ibr a h i m as 's(Abraham) Prayer to Offer Everything to his Lord The righteous people have been advised in the Holy Qur’ a n to follow the example of Hadrat Ibr a h i m as (Abraham) and offer this prayer. َرَﺑَّﻨَﺎ2َﻠَﻴْﻚ َ ﺗَﻮLََّﻠْﻨَﺎ َو ُْ إِﻟَﻴْﻚ أَﻧَ;ْﻨَﺎ و َ إِﻟَﻴْﻚ َ املَْﺼِري. (Al-Mumta h inah 60:5) Our Lord, in You do we put our trust, and to You do we turn repentant, and towards You is the final return.
