PRAYERS 57 O All a h , I have wronged my soul excessively. There is none except You who forgives sins. I beg You for Your special forgiveness. Have mercy on me. No doubt You are the Most Forgiving and Oft-returning with mercy. Hadrat Shadd a d bin ‘A u s ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to offer this prayer during his naw a fil prayer: ۡ َّ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن ِّ اَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ اﻟÖ ْ ﺒَﺎت َ ىف ِ اﻻَْﻣ َْ ﺮ ِ ،وَاﻟ ْ ﻌَﺰِمي ﺔ َ 2َ_ َ اﻟﺮُّﺷ ۡ َ ﺪِ،وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک ْ ﺷُک ۡ ﺮ َ ﻧِﻌﻤَﺘِکَ،وَﺣُﺴ ْ ﻦ َ ﻋِﺒَﺎدَﺗِک َ وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ ﻗَﻠ ﺒًﺎ ﺳَﻠِﻴ ۡ ﻤًﺎ ،وَﻟِﺴَﺎﻧًﺎ ﺻَﺎدِﻗًﺎ ْ وَاَﺳ ِْﺎَﻟُک َ ﻣِﻦ ْ ﺧَري ْﻣَﺎ ﺗَﻌ ْ ﻠَﻢ ُ وَاَﻋُﻮ ْذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ ْ ﺷَﺮ ِّ ﻣَﺎ ﺗَﻌ ْ ﻠَﻢ ُ وَاَﺳ َ ﺘَﻐ ْ ﻔِﺮ ُ ﻟَک ﺗَﻌ ُ ملَِﺎ ﻠَﻢ. 88 O All a h , grant me steadfastness in actions and firm resolve in following guidance and piety. I beg You to make me grateful to You and enable me to offer worship in the best manner. I request You to bestow upon me a gentle heart and a truthful tongue. I supplicate for every good that You know of and seek refuge in You from every evil which is in Your knowledge. I seek forgiveness for all my sins, which You know. Hadrat ‘Amm a r bin Y a sir ra narrates that the Holy Prophet sa taught him to recite these prayers in s al a t : ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ ﺑِﻌِﻠ ْ ﻤِکَ اﻟ ْ ﻐَﻴ َْ ﺐِ وَﻗُﺪ ْ رَﺗِکَ 2َ_َ اخل ْ ﻠ ِْ ﻖِ اَﺣ ْ[ِىن َْ ﻣَﺎ2َﻠِﻤ ًْ ﺖَ احل ﻴَﺎةَ ﺧَري ِْ ا ْىلِّ، وَﺗَﻮَﻓَّىن ْ اِذَا 2َﻠِﻤ ًْ ﺖ َ اﻟ ْ ﻮَﻓَﺎة◌ََﺧَري ْ ا ىل ِّ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ وَاَﺳ ِ ﺎَﻟُک َ ﺧَﺸ ْ [َﺘَک َ ىف ْ اﻟ ِ ﻐَﻴ ْ ﺐ ِ وَاﻟﺸَّﻬَﺎدَة َْ وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ Lَﻠِﻤَﺔ َ احل ﻖ ِّ ىف ِ اﻟﺮÝِّ ٰ وَاﻟ ْﻐَﻀَﺐِ، َ وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک ْ اﻟ ْ ﻘَﺼ ْ ﺪ َ ىف ِ اﻟ ْ ﻔَﻘ ْ ﺮ ِ وَاﻟ ْ ﻐِىنٰ،وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ ﻧَﻌِﻴ ْ ﻤًﺎ ﻻ َّ ﻳَﻨ ٍْ ﻔَﺪُ،وَاَﺳ َّ ﺎَﻟُک َ ﻗُﺮَّة َ 2َني ْﻻ ْ ﺗَﻨ ْ ﻘَﻄِﻊ ُ وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ اﻟﺮِّﺿَﺎ ﺑَﻌ ْ ﺪ َ اﻟ ْ ﻘَﻀَﺎ،وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎ◌ََﻟُک َ ﺑَﺮ ْ د َ اﻟ [َﻌ َ ﺶ ِ ﺑ ْ َْ ﻌ ْ ﺪ َ امل ِ ﻮ ْ ت ْ وَاَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ ﻟَﺬَّة َ اﻟﻨَّﻈَﺮ ِ اِىل ٰ وَﺟ ِْ ﻬِکَ،وَاﻟﺸَّﻮ َ ق َ اِىل ٰ ﻟِﻘَﺎﺋِک َ ىف ِ 5َري َّﺿَﺮَّاء ْ ﻣُﻀِﺮَّة ٍ و Zِﻻ َ ﻓ ُّ ْ ﻨَﺔ ٍ ﻣ َْ ﻀِﻠَّﺔٍ،اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ زَﻳِّﻨَّﺎ ﺑِﺰِﻳ ﻨَﺔ ِ اﻻِْمي ْﺎنِ، ً وَاﺟ ﻌَﻠﻨَﺎ ﻫُﺪَاة
