PRAYERS 44 when leaving his house for s al a t , God appoints seventy thousand angels to seek forgiveness for him and favours him with His special attention during s al a t. َ ّٰ ا ُ ﻟﻠ َّ ﻬ ِﻢ ّۡ إ َين ۡ أ َ ﺳ ُ ﺄ َ ﻟ َِﻚ ِّ حب َّﻖ ِ اﻟﺴ ِ ﺎﺋ َۡ ﻠ َني 2 َ ۡ ﻠ َ ﻴ َﻚ َِ و ِّ حب َۡﻖ َ مم َ ﺸ ٰﺎي َ ﻫ ﺬ ا Äَ ِ ﻓ ِّ ﺈ َين ۡ ﻟ َﻢ ۡ أ ُ ﺧ ۡ ﺮ َج َ أ ً ﺷ ﺮ َا َ و َﻻ َ ﺑ ً ﻄ ﺮ َا َ و ِﻻ َ ر ً ﻳ َﺎء َ و ُۡﻻ َ مس ً ﻌ ﺔ ۡﺧَﺮَﺟۡﺖ ُ ﻫَﺮۡﺑًﺎ و َ ﻓِﺮَارًا ِ ﻣِﻦ َذُﻧُﻮىب َاِﻟَﻴۡک َ ﺧ ۡ ﺮ ُ ﺟ ِﺖ ِّ ا َ ﺗ َ ﻘ ُﺎء ۡ ﺳ ِ ﺨ َ ﻄ َﻚ ۡ و ِ اﺑ َ ﺘ َ ﻐ َﺎء ۡ ﻣ َ ﺮ ِﺿ َ ﺎﺗ ﻚ Ä َ َ ﻓ ۡ ﺄ َ ﺳ ُ ﺄ َ ﻟ َﻚ ۡ أ ُن ِ ﺗ ۡ ﻌ َ ﻴ ِْ ﺬ ِين َ ﻣ َّﻦ ِ اﻟﻨ َ ﺎر َ و ۡ أ َن ۡ ﺗ ِ ﻐ َ ﻔ ِۡ ﺮ ُيل ُ ذ ۡ ﻧ ِ ﻮ يب. 54 Oh All a h , I beseech you with the rights of those who beg from You and with my right of leaving for prayer on foot. You know that pride, vanity, false pretence or desire for fame has not forced me to come out. Fleeing from my sins I have come running to You. I have come out to escape Your displeasure and for seeking Your pleasure. I beg You to save me from punishment of the Fire and forgive my sins. Prayer for Going to the Mosque. Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Amr bin Al- ‘As ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to recite this prayer on entering the mosque. The traditions describe that if this prayer is recited, Satan says, “This person is safe from me for today”. ّٰ ْأَﻋُﻮذُﺑِﺎ ِ اﻟْﻌَﻈِﻴ ِﻢ ْوَﺑِﻮَﺟْﻬِﻪ ِ اﻟْﻜَﺮِﻳ ِﻢ ْوَﺳُﻠْﻄَﺎﻧِﻪ ِ اﻟْﻘَﺪِﻳ َﻢ ِﻣِﻦ ْاﻟﺸَّﻴْﻄَﺎن ِ اﻟﺮَّﺟِﻴ ﻢ. 55 I seek refuge in All a h , the Greatest, from the rejected Satan.
