PRAYERS 34 79. Prayer for God's Arbitration Sa‘ i d bin H asanah ra relates that he knew of a verse, which when recited, a supplicant would receive whatever he begged The Holy Prophet sa used to begin his Tahajjud with it and added words of, اﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ رَب َّ ﺟِربِۡﻳۡﻞ َ وَ ﻣِﻴۡ¤َﺎﺋِﻴۡﻞ َ وَ اِﺳۡﺮَاﻓِﻴۡﻞَ. “ All a h the Lord of Jibr a ’ i l (Gabriel), M i k a ’ i l (Michael) and Isr a f i l (Israfel). ” 39 َّ َاﻟﻠّٰﻬﻢ ٰﻓَﺎﻃِﺮ ِ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮ ِت ٰوَاﻷَْرْض 2 َ ِﻠِﻢ ِاﻟْﻐَﻴْﺐ َوَاﻟﺸَّﻬَﺎدَة ُأَﻧْﺖ َْحتَْﻜُﻢ َﺑَني ِﻋِﺒَﺎدِك يف ْﻣَﺎ Lَﺎﻧُﻮ ْا ِ ﻓِﻴ ْﻪ َ خيَْﺘَﻠِﻔُﻮ ن. (Az-Zumur 39:47) O All a h ! Originator of the heavens and the earth; Knower of the unseen and the seen; You alone will judge between Your servants concerning that in which they differed. 80. On the Rejection by People, and a Prayer for Victory God delivered Hadrat N uh as 's (Noah) Ark from the flood. ِّ ِرَب اﻧْﺼُﺮْين ْمبَِﺎ ِ ﻛَﺬَّﺑُﻮ ن. (Al-Mu’min u n23: 27) O my Lord, help me, for they have treated me as a liar. 81. Declaration of Belief in God’s Promises upon Hearing His Verses The learned believers prostrated themselves on hearing the revealed verses. ٰ َ ﺳُﺒْﺤ ﻦ ْرَﺑِّﻨَﺎ َإِن Lَُﺎن و2َْﺪ ْرَﺑِّﻨَﺎ ً ملََﻔْﻌُﻮ ﻻ. (Ban i Isr a’i l 17:109) Holy is our Lord. Surely, the promise of our Lord is bound to be fulfilled.
