PRAYERS 16 people of Fire. َرَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ﻻ َجتَْﻌَﻠْﻨَﺎ ِﻣَﻊ ّٰاﻟْﻘَﻮْم َْ اﻟﻈ ﻠِﻤِني. (Al-A‘r a f 7:48) Our Lord, put us not with the unjust people. 32. Prayer for Safety from Tyrannical People Hadrat M u s a as (Moses) advised a small company of believing young men from among his people. ’ You have believed in All a h , so put your trust in Him. ’ These young men prayed in response. َ _َ2ِّٰ ا ﺗَﻮLََّﻠْﻨَﺎ َرَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ﻻ ًجتَْﻌَﻠْﻨَﺎ ِّﻓZِْﻨَﺔ ِ ﻟ ّٰﻠْﻘَﻮْم َْ اﻟﻈ ﻠِﻤِني َوَجنَِّﻨَﺎ ﺑِﺮ ﺣْﻤﺘﻚ َ ِﻣِﻦ ٰاﻟْﻘَﻮْم ْ اﻟْﻜ َ ﻔِﺮِﻳ ﻦ. (Y u nus 10: 86-87) In All a h do we put our trust. Our Lord, make us not a trial for the wrongdoing people. And deliver us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people. 33. Prayer for Migration and Escaping Cruel People Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Abb a s ra (whose mother, Umm-e -Fa d l, believed in Islam in the early period) used to relate that, when the Holy Prophet sa migrated from Makkah, he and his mother were amongst the weak women and children who were mentioned in the Holy Qur’ a n. that they used to pray for the success of the migration. 20 God delivered these oppressed people at the time of the conquest of Makkah. رَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ْأَﺧْﺮِﺟْﻨَﺎ ِﻣِﻦ ِﻫٰﺬِہ ِاﻟْﻘَﺮْﻳَﺔ اﻟﻈَّﺎﻟِﻢ ْأَﻫْﻠُﻬَﺎ َّوَاﺟْﻌَﻞ ﻟ ْﻨَﺎ َّﻣِﻦ َ ﻟ ﺪُﻧْﻚ َّوَﻟِﻴًّﺎ ْ و َّاﺟْﻌَﻞ ﻟ ْﻨَﺎ َّﻣِﻦ َ ﻟ ًْﺪُﻧْﻚ ﻧَﺼِري ا. (An-Nis a ’4:76) Our Lord, take us out of this town, whose people are oppressors, and make for us some friend from Thyself and make for us from Yourself some helper.
