PRAYERS 116 O All a h , grant health to my body, protect my hearing and my sight and make these two my inheritors. There is none worthy of worship except All a h , Who is Honourable and Forebearing. Holy is the Lord of the Magnificent Throne. All praise belongs to All a h , the Lord of the worlds. Prayer for Protection from the Effects of Bad Omens Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Umar ra relates the Holy Prophet sa told us that if bad omens hinder someone's affairs, he too has associated partners with All a h. The companions asked for the remedy. He advised them to say this prayer: َْ ُْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ ﻻَ ﻃَري َْاِﻻَّ ﻃَري ُْ کَ وَﻻَ ﺧَري ُْاِﻻَّ ﺧَري َ کَ وَﻻَ اِﻟªَٰ 5َري ک. 234 O All a h , no bad omen is consequential except by Your decree regarding evil and there is no bounty except Your beneficence. There is none worthy of worship except You. Prayer on Seeing a Bad View Hadrat Ahmad Qursh i ra relates, “When the practice of augury was mention in the presence of the Holy Prophet sa , he said: “Taking of omens is good and if anyone of you sees any distasteful thing, he should pray:” َ َّ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻻ َ ﻳَﺎ ْ Çِْ ﺑِﺎحلَْﺴَﻨَﺎتِ اِﻻ وَﻻ َّاَﻧْﺖَ، ﻳَﺪ ْ ﻓَﻊُ اﻟﺴَّﻴِّﺂت ِ اِﻻ َاَﻧْﺖَ ، َ وَﻻ َّ ﺣَﻮْ ل َ وَﻻ َﻗُﻮَّة َ اِﻻ ﺑِک. 235 “O All a h , no one brings good things except You, and no one averts evil things except You and there is no might and power except in All a h. ” Prayer for Beneficence of God Hadrat ‘Umar ra relates this prayer of the Holy
