PRAYERS 101 O All a h , make it rain around us but not on us. O All a h , make it rain on the hills, rocks, valleys and the trees of the forests. Prayers at Bedtime Hadrat H udaifah bin Al-Yam a n ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to say this prayer on retiring to bed: ِْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ ﺑِﺎمس ْ کَ اَﻣُﻮ تُ وَ اَﺣ ﻴَﺎ. 200 O All a h , I die in Your name and I come to life in Your name. Hadrat Bar a ’ bin ‘ A zib ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa taught someone this bedtime prayer and said that if he dies during the night, his death will be as a guided one, and if he wakes up in the morning, his life will prosper with the blessings of this prayer. ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اَﺳ ْ ﻠَﻤ ِْ ﺖ ُ ﻧَﻔ ºْ َّ اِﻟَﻴ ک َ ،و َ وَﺟ ْ ْ ﻬ ِْ ﺖ ُ وَﺟ Æْ ْ اِﻟَﻴ ْ ک َ و َ ﻓَﻮَّﺿ ْ ﺖ ُ اَﻣ ْﺮِی َْ اِﻟَﻴ ْ کَ ،وَ اَجل ْ ﺄتُ ﻇَﻬ اِﻟَﻴ ْ ﺮِی ْ کَ ،رَﻏ ْ ﺒَﺔً وَ رَﻫ ْ ﺒَﺔً اِﻟَﻴ ْ کَ ،ﻻَ ﻣَﻠ َ ﺠَﺎَ وَ ﻻَ ﻣَﻨ ْ ﺠَﺎ ْ ﻣِﻨ ْ ک َ اِﻻ َّ اِﻟَﻴ ْ ک َ آﻣَﻨ ْﺖ ُ ﺑِکِﺘَﺎﺑِک َ اﻟَّﺬِی ْ اَﻧﺰَﻟ ْﺖ َ و َ ﺑِﻨَ;ِﻴِّک َ اﻟَّﺬِی ْ اَر َ ﺳَﻠ ﺖ. 201 O All a h , I have entrusted my life to You, and I am inclined towards You. I have submitted all my affairs to You. With great love for You and with Your fear in my heart, I have taken You as my support. There is no refuge or salvation except in You. I believe in Your revealed book and in the Messenger ordained by You. Hadrat Ab u Hurairah ra relates the Holy Prophet sa instructed him that when retiring to bed at night, he should dust the bed and recite this prayer. ِْ ِّْ ﺑِﺎ مس ْک َ رَىب ْ وَﺿَﻌ َﺖ ُ ﺟ ِْ ىب ،ْ و َ ﺑِک َ اَر ﻓَﻌªُ ،ْ ْاِن ْ اَﻣﺴَک ِْ ﺖ َ ﻧَﻔ ºْ َْ ﻓَﺎر مح ْﻬَﺎ ، ْو َ اِن ْ اَرﺳَﻠ ْ ﺘَﻬَﺎ ﻓَﺎﺣ َْ ﻔَﻈ ﻬَﺎ مبَِﺎ حت ﻔَﻆ ُ ﺑªِ َ ﻋِﺒَﺎدَک
