PRAYERS 78 the Greatest, All a h is the Greatest and all praise belongs to All a h. Hadrat ‘Umar ra , Hadrat ‘Al i ra and Hadrat Ibn-e- ‘Abb a s ra used to recite these Takb i r a t from the morning of 9th Dhil- H ajjah to the ‘A s r time of Ayy a mut-Tashr i q (the 13th day of Dhil- H ajjah). 141 Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Umar ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to recite these Takb i r a ts on ‘ I dul-Fi t r while going from his house to the place of ‘ I d prayer. 142 Prayers for ‘ I d Hadrat W a thilah ra relates, “I met the Holy Prophet sa on the day of ‘ I d and said to him”; َ ﺗَﻘَﺒَّﻞَ اﻟﻠªّٰ ُ ﻣِﻨَّﺎوَﻣِﻨْک “May All a h accept it (Worships, sacrifices and prayers) from us and you”. The Holy Prophet sa liked this prayer and repeated the same words: “Yes, May All a h accept it from us and you. Ameen” 143 Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin Mas‘ u d ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to say this prayer on ‘ I d. ً وَﻣِ[ْﺘَﺔ ﻧَﺴْﺌَﻠُکَ 2ِﻴْﺸَﺔً ﺗَﻘِﻴَّﺔً، اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ اِﻧَّﺎ 5َريَْ خمُْﺰٍ وَﻻَ ﻓَﺎﺿِﺢٍ، وَﻣَﺮَدًّا َﺳَﻮِﻳَّﺔً، ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻻ َ ُْﻠِکْﻨَﺎ ﻓَﺠْﺄَةً، وَﻻ َ ﺗَﺄْﺧُﺬْﻧَﺎ ﺑَﻐْﺘَﺔ ً ، وَﻻ َ ﺗُﻌْﺠِﻠْﻨَﺎ ﻋَﻦ ْ ﺣَﻖ ٍّ وَﻻ ﻧَﺴْﺄَﻟُکَ اﻟ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ اِﻧَّﺎ ْ وَﺻِﻴَّﺔٍ، ِ ﻌَﻔَﺎفَ وَاﻟ وَﺣُﺴْﻦَ 2َﺎﻗِﺒَﺔ ْﻐِىنٰ وَاﻟﺘ Ìُّٰ وَاهلُْﺪٰی ِْ اﻵْﺧِﺮَة ِ وَاﻟﺪُّﻧْﻴَﺎ، وَﻧُﻌُﻮ ْ ذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ َ اﻟﺸَک ِّ وَاﻟﺸِّﻘَﺎق ِ وَاﻟﺮِّﻳَﺎء ِ وَاﻟﺴُّﻤْﻌَﺔ ِ ىف ْ دِﻳْﻨِکَ، ﻳَﺎﻣُﻘَﻠِّﺐ َ اﻟ ْﻘُﻠُﻮْب ِ ﻻَﺗُﺰِغ ْ ﻗُﻠُﻮْﺑَﻨَﺎﺑَﻌْﺪ َ اِذ َ ﻫَﺪَﻳZَْﻨَﺎ وَﻫَﺐ ْ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﻣِﻦ ﻟَّﺪُﻧْکَ ر ً ﺣْﻤﺔ ُ اِﻧَّکَ اَﻧْﺖَ اﻟْﻮَﻫَّﺎب ،. 144 “Oh All a h , we beg You for life of Piety and an impeccable death. Return us to a place where there is no disgrace and humiliation. O All a h ,
