PRAYERS 208 on me. (Tadhkirah 2009 UK, revelation of 1906) Prayer for Deliverance from Affliction In 1899 the Promised Messiah as saw a dream that fire, smoke and sparks were blowing towards him but did not cause him any harm. He was reciting this prayer at that time: َ ﻳَﺎÁ َُّ ﻳَﺎﻗَﻴُّﻮْمُ ﺑِﺮ ﺣْﻤﺘ ِ اَﺳْﺘَﻐِﻴْﺚُ اِن َّ رَىبِّْ رَب ُّ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮٰت ِ وَاﻻَْرْض. O Ever Living and Self Subsisting One, I supplicate for Your mercy. Indeed my Lord is the Lord of the heavens and earth. (Tadhkirah 2009 UK, revelation of 1899, reference letter to Maul a na ‘Abdul Kar i m Sahib) Once someone wrote to the Promised Messiah as about his difficulties, the Promised Messiah as replied; "Say Istighf a r a great deal and say this prayer in sal a t. " َ ﻳَﺎÁ َُّ ﻳَﺎﻗَﻴُّﻮْم ُ اَﺳْﺘَﻐِﻴْﺚُ ﺑِﺮ ﺣْﻤﺘ ّٰ ﻳَﺎ اَرْﺣَﻢ َ اﻟﺮ ْﻤﺣ. O Ever Living and Self Sustaining One, I supplicate for help with Your mercy. O the Most Merciful of all who show mercy. " (Malf uza t, vol. 4, page 250) Prayer for Attaining Love and Forgiveness of God The Promised Messiah as wrote in a letter of condolence to his faithful friend Munsh i Rustam ‘Al i Sahib, on the shocking death of his sincere friend, Sunder D a s. He advised him to recite this prayer frequently during the day and the night as well as in prostration: ٍ ْﻳَﺎاَﺣَﺐ ُّ ﻣِﻦ ْ Lُﻞ ِّ حمَْﺒُﻮْب َ اِﻏْﻔِﺮْىل ِْ ذُﻧُﻮْىب ِْ وَاَد َْ ﺧِﻠْىن ِْ ىف ِْ ﻋِﺒَﺎدِک املُْﺨْﻠَﺼِني. O the Most Beloved of all loved ones, forgive my sins and include me in Your faithful servants. (Makt u b a t-e-Ahmadiyya, vol. 5, number 3, page 74)
