PRAYERS 129 ْ ُْرَﺑُّﻨَﺎ اﷲُ اﻟَّﺬِی ْ ىفِ اﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎءِ ﺗَﻘَﺪَّسَ امس ْ کَ اَﻣ ﺮُکَ ىفِ اﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎءِ وَاﻻَْر َ ضِ کَﻤَﺎ ر ْ ﺣ ﻤﺘ ْ ْ ىف ِ اﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎء ِ ﻓَﺎﺟ َﻌَﻞ ر ْ ﺣ ﻤﺘ ْ ْ ىف ِ اﻻَْر ْ ض ِ وَاﻏ ْﻔِﺮ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﺣُﻮ ْ ﺑَﻨَﺎ َْ وَﺧَﻄَﺎﻳَﺎﻧَﺎ اَﻧ ْ ﺖ َ رَب ُّ اﻟﻄَّﻴِّﺒِني ْﻓَﺎَﻧ ْﺰِل َﺷِﻔَﺎء ً ﻣِّﻦ ﺷِﻔَﺎﺋِک َ وَر ْ ً ﺣ ﻤﺔ ْ َّﻣِّﻦ ر ْ ﺣ ﻤﺘ ْ ِ 2َ_ٰ ﻫٰﺬَا اﻟ ﻮَﺟَﻊ. 256 Our Lord is the All a h , Who is in the Heavens. Immensely Holy is Your name. Your decree governs the Heaven and the Earth, as Your mercy in the Heavens. So bestow mercy upon earth as well. Forgive our sins and mistakes. You are the Lord of the pious people. Grant health with Your special healing power. With Your special kindness, show mercy in this illness and suffering. Prayer for Recovery of Sight Hadrat ‘Uthm a n bin H unaif ra relates that a blind person came to the Holy Prophet sa and requested him to pray for recovery of his sight. He replied: "If you wish me to pray, I will pray, but if you wish you can bear it patiently and this in my view is better for you. " The blind person insisted on prayer. The Holy Prophet sa advised the blind person to perform ablution properly and pray in these words: ِّْ ْاَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن َّ اَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ و َ اَﺗَﻮَﺟ ُ اِﻟَﻴª َّ َّ ک َ ﺑِﻨَ;ِﻴِّک َ حمَُﻤ ﺪ ٍ ﻧَىب ِِّ اﻟﺮ ْ ﺣ ﻤﺔ ،ِّ ْ اِىن ِّْ ﺗَﻮَﺟَّﻬ ِْﺖُ ﺑِکَ اِىلٰ رَىب ِْىف ﺣَﺎﺟَىت ﻫٰﺬِہ ِْ ِّﻟِﺘُﻘÞٰ ىل ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ ﻓَﺸَﻔ ﻌ ªُ ىفَِّ. 257 O All a h , I beg You and I turn to You making Your Holy Prophet as an intercessor. And O Muhammad sa I beg my Lord through your mediation, to fulfill my need. O All a h , accept this mediation and intercession of Your beloved.
