PRAYERS 117 Prophet sa. ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ زِد ْ ﻧَﺎ وَﻻ َ ﺗَﻨ ﻘُﺼ ْﻨَﺎ ْ وَاَک ْ ﺮِﻣ َْ ﻨَﺎوَﻻ َ ُِﻨَّﺎوَاَﻋ ْ ﻄِﻨَﺎوَﻻ َ حت ﺮِﻣ ﻨَﺎ ْوَآ َ ﺛِﺮ ُ ﻧَﺎ وَﻻ ْ ﺗ ُ ﺆ ْﺛِﺮ [َ2َﻠ ْ وَاَر ۡ ﻨَﺎ وَ ار ﺿِﻨَﺎ ضَ ﻋَﻨَّﺎ. 236 O All a h , increase us and do not decrease us. Bestow dignity upon us and save us from humiliation. Bestow favours upon us and do not deprive us. Be partial to us believers and do not give anybody preference over us. Make us happy and may You be pleased with us. Prayer for Fear of God and for Perfect Faith Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Umar ra relates that whenever the Holy Prophet sa rose from a gathering, he used to pray for himself and his companions in these words: َّ ْاَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ ْ اﻗ ْﺴِﻢ ْﻟَﻨَﺎ ﻣِﻦ ﺧَﺸ َﺘِک َ ﻣَﺎ[ َُ ۡ حي ْ ﻮ َْ ل ُ ﺑَﻴ ْ َﻨَﺎ و َ ﺑَني ْﻣَﻌَﺎﺻِﻴ کَ،وَﻣِﻦ ﺑªِ ﺗُﺒَﻠِّﻐُﻨَﺎ ﻃَﺎﻋَﺘِک َ ﻣَﺎ ْ ِْ ﺟََّﺘَکَ،وَﻣِﻦ َ اﻟ ﻴَﻘِني َُﻣَﺎ ُ ﻮِّن ْﺑªِ [َ2َﻠ ْ ﻣُﺼِ[ ِ ﻨَﺎ ﺒَﺎت اﻟﺪُّﻧﻴَﺎ ،ْ َْ و َ ﻣَﺘِّﻌ ْ ﻨَﺎ ﺑِﺎَمس ْ ﺎﻋِﻨَﺎ ،و َ اَﺑ ْ ﺼَﺎرِﻧَﺎ ،وَﻗُﻮَّﺗِﻨَﺎ ﻣَﺎ اَﺣ ْ ﻴَﻴ ْ Zَﻨَﺎ ،وَاﺟ ُ ﻌَﻠ ª ْ اﻟ ، ۡﻮَارِث َ ﻣِﻨَّﺎ ْ وَاﺟ ٰﻌَﻞ ْ ﺛَﺎرَﻧَﺎ 2َ_ ْﻣَﻦ ْ ﻇَﻠَﻤَﻨَﺎ ،وَاﻧ ٰ ﺼُﺮ _َ2 ْ ﻧَﺎ َﻣَﻦ َْ 2َﺎدَاﻧَﺎ، وَﻻ ْ جت ْﻌَﻞ ْ ﻣُﺼِﻴ ىفِ دِﻳ ﺒZََﻨَﺎ ِﻨَﺎَْ ْ ،وَﻻ َ جت اَک ْ ﻌَﻞ ِ اﻟﺪُّﻧﻴَﺎ ْ رب ََ مهَِّﻨَﺎ ،وَﻻَ ﻣَﺒ َ ﻠَﻎَ 2ِﻠ ،وَﻻ ْ ﻤِﻨَﺎ ْﺗُﺴَﻠِّﻂ [َ2َﻠ ْ ﻣَﻦ ْﻨَﺎ ﻻَّ ﻳَﺮ ْ ﺣﻤ ﻨﺎ. 237 O All a h , instill in our hearts, a fear which becomes a barrier between us and disobedience towards You. Grant us such capacity of submission which enables us to enter Heaven. Bestow upon us such certainty of belief which eases the afflictions of this world. Enable us to benefit from our eyes, ears and other faculties as long as You keep us alive. Grant us heirs from these faculties. Wreak vengeance on the person who transgresses against us. Help us against the enemies and do not put us to the test in our belief.
