?— A Reply to Pope Benedict XVI 224 اْوُلاَق َكَنٰحْبُس اَل َمْلِع ۤاَنَل اَّلِا اَم اَنَتْمَّلَع١ؕ َكَّنِا َتْنَا ُمْيِلَعْلا ُمْيِكَحْلا They (angels) said, ‘Holy art Thou! No knowledge have we except what Thou hast taught us; surely, Thou art the All-Knowing, the Wise’ ( S u rah al-Baqarah, 2:33). ُمْيِكَحْلاَؕدِهَش ُهّٰللا ٗهَّنَا ۤاَل َهٰلِا اَّلِا َوُه١ۙ َو ُةَكِٕىٰٓلَمْلا َو اوُلوُا ِمْلِعْلا اًۢمِٕىٓاَق ِطْسِقْلاِب١ؕ ۤاَل َهٰلِا اَّلِا َوُه ُزْيِزَعْلا Allah bears witness that there is no god but He-and also do the angels and those possessed of knowledge—Maintainer of justice; there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise ( S u rah A l-e-‘Imr a n, 3:19) ُدْمَحْلَا ِهّٰلِل ْيِذَّلا ٗهَل اَم يِف ِتٰوٰمَّسلا َو اَم يِف ِضْرَاْلا َو ُهَل ُدْمَحْلا يِف ِةَرِخٰاْلا١ؕ َو َوُه ُمْيِكَحْلا ُرْيِبَخْلا All praise is due to Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And His is All praise in the Hereafter; and He is the Wise, the All-Aware. ( S u rah Sab a ’, 34:2). ِهّٰللا١ؕ َّنِا َهّٰللا ٌزْيِزَع ٌمْيِكَحَو ْوَل َّنَا اَم يِف ِضْرَاْلا ْنِم ٍةَرَجَش ٌماَلْقَا َّو ُرْحَبْلا ٗهُّدُمَي ْۢنِم ٖهِدْعَب ُةَعْبَس ٍرُحْبَا اَّم ْتَدِفَن ُتٰمِلَك And if all the trees that are in the earth were pens, and the ocean were ink, with seven oceans swelling it thereafter, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Surely, Allah is Mighty, Wise ( S u rah Luqm a n, 31:28). َمْوَي ُخَفْنُي يِف ِرْوُّصلا١ؕ ُمِلٰع ِبْيَغْلا َو ِةَداَهَّشلا١ؕ َو َوُه ُمْيِكَحْلا ُرْيِبَخْلاَو َوُه ْيِذَّلا َقَلَخ ِتٰوٰمَّسلا َو َضْرَاْلا ِّقَحْلاِب١ؕ َو َمْوَي ُلْوُقَي ْنُك ُنْوُكَيَف١ؕ۬ ُهُلْوَق ُّقَحْلا١ؕ َو ُهَل ُكْلُمْلا And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth the right way; and the day when He will say, ‘“Be!” And it is. ’
