T E S T I MON Y OF T HE HOLY Q U R AN 100 1 ْنِم ِّلُك ٍبَدَح َنْوُلِسْنَّي That is, hastening towards Islam from every side, and creating dis - order in its land, and occupying its cities and turning its honoured ones into lowly ones. This verse means that the Christians, who will be the party of Gog and Magog, will advance upon Islamic countries from every height and overcome and dominate them to the point that the Islamic empire shall remain in name only—as is the case today. See the resemblance of events, how the adversity of Islam and the period of decline of the Muslims in both worldly and spiritual affairs has come to correspond with that period of the Jews in which Hadrat Mas ih lived. Moreover, note how the Quranic prophecy about the weakness of Islamic empire and the domi - nance of its opponents coincides with the prophecy of the Torah about the decline of the Israelite state. Granted, in regards to the coming of Mujaddid i n, the proph - ecy of the Torah and the prophecy of the Quran differ in appar - ent language. Per the Torah, it will be at the time of the breaking of Israelite power, the waning of their authority, and the decline of their kingdom, when Shiloh will appear. The Quran, however, gives the glad tiding of nafkh-e- su r [the blowing of the trum - pet] at the time of the decline of Islamic power and the rising of waves of conflict, which signifies the deception of Christian priests. Nafkh-e- su r does not mean doomsday, because more than 100 years have already passed since the beginning of the tides of 1. They shall hasten forth from every height ( S u rah al-Anbiy a ’, 21:97).
