جلد 21 490 تاریخ احمدیت distinguished legal and diplomatic career which has taken Ch۔Zafrullah Khan to the League of Nations, the United Nations and as a Judge to the International Court of Justice۔Like former President Truman, the trim, erect veteran Pakistani diplomat favours brisk morning walks۔New York's Central Park is his usual "beat" for a half-hour stroll from his Manhattan apartment around 7-30 a۔m۔He says this keeps him fit۔The new Assembly President is a man of many titles۔He was knighted by King George V in the 1930's but since Pakistan became a Republic he has not used the "Sir"۔He prefers to be addressed as "Chaudhry" a Pakistani honorific bestowed upon landowners۔Khan itself is a noble name۔He may also be addressed as "Justice" as he was a Judge at the World Court at The Hague for nine years۔His legal career began in 1916 after an education which included King's College, Cambridge۔He was a member of the Viceroy's Executive council in British India from 1935 to 1941, and led the Indian delegation to the League of Nations session in 1939۔He was appointed foreign Minister of Pakistan in 1947 and led his country's delegations to the annual U۔N۔
