From 746 To Sir, Syed Zainul Abedin Wali Ullah Shah, Nazir Dawat-o-Tabligh, Ahmadiyya Community Rabwah Dated 7th April 1953 The Inspector General of Police, Punjab Lahore "In today's issue of the Civil and Military Gazette on page 6, I have read the Government notification that the Khutba Juma delivered by the Head of the Ahmadiyya Community was printed at the Noor Art Press Rawalpindi and that the same has been proscribed by the Government۔In this connection I have the honour to bring to your notice the fact that I did indeed send the afore-said Khutba for printing at Rawalpindi but before its printing was completed and before its publication the Head of the Ahmadiyya Community received a notice under the Punjab Safety Act from the Governor Punjab۔As a result of that I was immediately directed to stop the aforesaid printing and publication whereupon I sent an express telegram to the Manager Noor Art Press Rawalpindi to stop the printing and publication of the said Khutba۔The said Manager received my telegram in time and stopped printing before it was completed۔The Police reached the Noor Art Press only after the Manager had received the said telegram۔The Khutba was thus never published and the part-printed copies of it were taken away by the police۔" Under the circumstances it is extremely regrettable that the facts have not been rightly and fully stated in the said notification and I am finding myself humiliated before the Head and members of our community showing that I allowed the printing of the said Khutba in spite of clear and timely instructions۔I have the honour to be, Sir, Your most obedient servant, (Sd/-) (Syed Zainul Abedin Wali Ullah Shah) Nazir Dawat-o-Tabligh Rabwah
