-- Clarification Sir, In your issue of Tuesday the 22nd instant a report of an interview with me has been published۔The interviewer Mian Mohammad Shafi is a very experienced and honest person۔He has most carefully recorded my replies to his questions and apart from some immaterial discrepancies he has very faithfully reproduced what I said۔There has however been some misunder- standing regarding one point۔Mian Mohammad Shafi has somehow taken the impression that we are already in possession of definite proofs of the Ahrar getting help from India۔What I meant to say was that I had been informed by certain persons that they possessed some proof about the Ahrar getting help from the other side of the border but that I had no power to finally verify it۔I also said that we too had some important clues as to some of the Ahrar workers receiving help from certain Indian parties and that we were following up those clues۔I added that when we reached some definite conclusions we would put them before the proper authorities at the proper time۔It seems that unfor- tunately I could not express myself clearly on the point and the two things got intermixed with each other۔Mirza B۔Mahmud Ahmad Head of the Ahmadiyya Community 00 8 (The Civil & Military Gazette Lahore, Friday, July 25, 1952, page 3)
