1905 789 October 24, 1905 The Promised Messiah [as] said: Last night I saw in my dream a few grains of roasted white gram and there were some large raisins among them. The Promised Messiah [as] added: My experience is that gram, radish, eggplant, and onion, in a dream, indicate something disagreeable. Large raisins strengthen the heart and seeing them in a dream is a presage of something good. This dream, therefore, indicates that something disagreeable, large or small, will be encountered 970 but the disagreeable aspect will be reduced or overcome by the combination of the raisins. The Promised Messiah [as] further said: Human life is subject to a series of disagreeable experiences. If someone’s desires to spend the entire life in happiness, that will not be possible. [As the Holy Qur’an says]: [There is ease after hardship, there is ease after hardship. ] Such is the cycle that life normally takes. So at a time of hardship one should remind oneself that ease will certainly follow.
