1883 79 1883 or earlier I recall that on one occasion I first received the revelation in English: I love you. Then came the revelation: [English] I am with you. Then came the revelation: [English] I shall help you. Then came the revelation: [English] I can what I will do. Then, with such emphasis that my body trembled at it, came the revelation: [English] We can what We will do. I felt at the time from the tone and pronunciation that an Englishman was standing over me and was uttering these phrases. Despite the awe-striking tone, my soul derived a pleasure from these revelations, which was comforting and satisfying even before the meanings had been ascertained. Such revelations in English have often been repeated.
