I interpreted this dream 474 to mean that my ruthless opponents who convey baseless and false tales concerning me to the Government will not succeed in their efforts and that as God Almighty in my dream converted a stone into a buffalo and granted it big and bright eyes, in the same way, He will bestow insight concerning me upon Government officials and they will reach the correct conclusion. . These are God’s doings and appear strange in the eyes of people. So far it seems that the magistrate is not well disposed towards me. On Friday night I saw in a dream that by virtue of my supplication a stone or a piece of wood was turned into a buffalo. Perceiving that a great Sign had appeared I fell into prostration 475 and glorified Allah in a loud voice repeating: 474 It appears that this dream relates to the case. * The stone or piece of wood represents the magistrate who might be seeking [to do me] harm and whose eyes are closed. The interpretation of his becoming a buffalo having big eyes seems to be that suddenly something might arise which would open his eyes.
