1893 299 I interpreted this to mean that the Sheikh [Mehr ‘Al i ] would be afflicted with such humiliation and eventually would be remorseful and that for the moment he was acting under some one else’s influence. We shall turn the matter in heaven as you make it turn upon earth. We are with you, and shall raise your ranks.
