1903 661 September 23, 1903 al-Badr reports that the Promised Messiah [as] narrated the following dream upon rising in the morning: I had taken up a pen to write. I observed that its point was broken. Thereupon I said: Put on to it one of the nibs that had been sent by Muhammad Af d al. While those nibs were being looked for, I woke up. . . . If someone would take the time out from worldly occupations and stay with me, he would witness a running river of prophecies being fulfilled like the one of yesterday concerning a pen. 753 [al-Badr, vol. 2, no. 37, October 2, 1903, p. 390] 753 al-Badr reports that: After 10 a. m. the case brought by Karam D i n against the Promised Messiah as and H ak i m Fa d l D i n was brought up. Khw a jah Sahib presented a request on behalf of H ak i m Fa d l D i n that the charges made by Maulav i Karam D i n are the same for the investigation of which I have brought a case against Karam D i n. Therefore the present case should be postponed till the earlier cases are decided. The lawyers on both side entered into a debate on this issue and the court decided to postpone the decision to the following day. In the evening the Promised Messiah as received the revelation: [Persian] Be glad and happy. On the 24 th the case brought by Sheikh Ya‘q u b ‘Al i Editor al- H akam against Maulav i Karam D i n and the Editor of Sir a jul-Akhb a r of Jehlum was to be heard. But since the testimony of the plaintiff was not available, the case was postponed to October 21, 1903. Since the court had not yet rendered a decision of the discussion of the previous day, Khw a jah Sahib wanted to bring up additional legal points. After hearing him, the court decided after 1 p. m. that the plea for postponement be turned down. Thus the words of God, which He conveyed to His apostle on the 22 nd in the evening and which he had narrated on the morning of the 23 rd were fulfilled.
