1064 was moved to supplicate for him, which he did. There was a sudden change in the young man’s heart and he asked permission to enter into the covenant of bai‘at. [A sha b-e-Ahmad, part 2, p. 117, Letter of Maulav i ‘Abdul-Kar i m ra , April 19, 1898] ‘1898 Miy a ń ‘Abdul-‘Az i z of Lahore (known as Mughal) relates: On one occasion when the Promised Messiah as was in the process of preparing the medicine Tiry a q-e-Ilah i, I was sitting in the pharmacy of Hadrat Khalifatul Masih I ra while Hadrat Maulav i ‘Abdul-Kar i m was also there. The Promised Messiah as came with a big staff and said to Maulav i Sahib: It has been revealed to me that this medicine causes heat and dryness.
