(American Edition) 67 Truth of t he Promised Messiah The Holy Qur’ān on the truth of the Promised Messiah (1) َِ َّل ا ۘ ۡ ب َ یَعۡرِفُوۡنَہ ٗ کَمَا یَعۡرِفُوۡن َ اَبۡن َٓاءَہُم ی ُہُُ الۡکِت ی تَیۡن ی َّل َِیۡن َ ا ا َُہُۡ یۡن َ خَسِرُوۡۤا َُہُۡ ف ُاَنۡفُس ۡلَ یُؤۡمِن ٪ وۡن َ ﴿ ﴾ “Those to whom We gave the Book recognize him as they recognize their sons. But those who ruin their souls will not believe. ” (6[Al- An‘ām]:21) (2) ٗ ُ مَا تَلَوۡتُہ ّلل ی ۡ قُل ۡ لَو ۡ ش َٓاء َ ا ٖ ۫ۖ فَقَد ۡ لَبِثۡت ُ فِیۡکُم ۡ عُمُرًا مِن َۡلَۤ اَدۡری ىکُم ۡ بِہ ًَلَ عَلَیۡکُم ۡ و ِۡلِٖ ؕ اَف قَب تَعۡقِلُوۡن َ ﴿ ﴾ ُ ٗفَمَن ۡاَظۡلَم ٖ ؕ اِنَہ ییتِہ ی ِ کَذِبًا اَو ۡ کَذَب َ بِا ّلل ی َٰۤلَ ا َۡتَی ی ع َمِمَن ِ اف ۡلَ یُفۡلِح ُ الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡن ﴿ ﴾ “Say, ‘If Allāh had s o willed, I should not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. I have indeed lived among you a whole lifetime before this. Will you not then understand?’ Who is then more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allāh or he who treats His Signs as lies? Surely, the guilty shall never prosper. ”(10[Yūnus]:17 -18) (3) َِ َِب ًُلًاَن ۡ یَقُوۡل َ ر ل ِ فِرۡعَوۡن َ یَکۡتُم ُاِیۡمَانَہ ٗۤاَتَقۡتُلُوۡن َ رَج ی ٌ ۖ٭ مِن ۡ ا ۡو َ قَال َ رَجُل ٌمُؤۡمِن ُ و َ قَد ۡ ج َٓاءَکُم ّلل ی َا ت ِ مِن ۡ ر ی بِالۡبَیِن ٗ ۚ و َ اِن ۡ یَک ُ صَادِقًا ۡ ؕ و َ اِن ۡ یَک ُ کَاذِبًا فَعَلَیۡہ ِ کَذِبُہ ٌ بِکُم َۡلَ یَہۡدِی ۡ مَن ۡ ہُو َ مُسۡرِف ٌ کَذَاب ّلل ی اِن َ ا ؕ ۡ ّل َِی ۡ یَعِدُکُم یُصِبۡکُم ۡ بَعۡض ُ ا ﴿ ﴾ “ And a believing man from among the people of Pharaoh, who concealed his fait h, said, “Will you slay a man because he says, ‘My Lord is Allāh,’ while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he be a liar, on him will be the sin of his lie; but if he is truthful, then some of that which he threatens you with will
