 (American Edition)   21  “According to the ‘Ulamā (religious scholars), the words ‘Lā Nabiyya Ba‘dī’ (There is no Prophet after me) means that no prophet in the future shall be raised who shall abrogate his law. ” (Al -Ish ā’a h Fi Ashr ā tis-S ā‘ ah, p. 226) Ḥ a ḍ rat Maul ā n ā Mu ḥ ammad Q ā sim N ā notw ī , the founder of the Deoband Academy, who lived in the same century as Ḥ a ḍrat Mirzā Ghulām Aḥ mad, said: ارگ اخ ی م ی ت ینعمب ااصتف ذایت وبفص وبنت ےئجیل اسیج ہک دمچیہ ان ےن رعض ایک ےہ وت رھپ روسل اہلل ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص اور یسک وک ارفاد وصقمد ابقلخل ںیم ےس امملث وبنی ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص ںیہن ہہک ےتکس ہکلب اس وصرت ںیم طقف اایبنء ےک ارفاد اخریج یہ رپ ٓاپ یک تلیضف اثتب ہن وہیگ ارفاد دقمرہ رپ یھب ٓاپ یک تلیضف اثتب وہ اجےئ یگ ہکلب ارگ ابرفلض دعب زامہن وبنی ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص یھب وکیئ یبن دیپا وہ وت رھپ یھب ی م ی اخت دمحمی ںیم ھچک رفق ہن ٓاےئ اگ. “If the finality of the prophethood of the Holy Prophet be considered in the light of his excellent attributes and his having reached the apex of excellence, as I have already stated, but not chronologically, and which height no one can ever aspire to reach, the point of his superiority over all persons becomes established over those who have passed away and also over those who come after him. If we accept this view, it shall not at all contravene his finality even though someone in the future did rise to the high status of prophethood. ” (Taḥ zirun- Nās, p. 28) 5. Imām Mahdī and Promised Messiah “I also believe that Ḥ a ḍ rat Mirzā Ghulām A ḥ mad was the same Imām Mahdī and Promised Messiah whose advent was prophesied by Ḥ a ḍ rat Mu ḥ ammad Ras ū lull ā h (may peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him). ” The Qur’ān in verse below refers to the advent of a messenger of Allāh who was to come in the latter days: َ ُۡہُۡیَتۡلُوۡا ع ۡۡلً مِن ِّی َٖرَسُو ۡلُۡم َ ِفِا ّل َِی ۡبَعَث ُُہُُہُو َ ا ُۡہِۡ و َ یُعَلِم یی تِہ ٖو َ یُزَکِ ی ی ُۡہِۡا لَی ِّیٍۡ ۙ﴿﴾ ل ٍ مُب ی ب َ و َ الۡحِکۡمَۃ َ ٭ و َ اِن ۡ کَانُوۡا مِن ۡقَبۡل ُلَفِی ۡ ضَل ی الۡکِت ُۡہُۡلَمَا خَرِیۡن َ مِن ی و َ ا ُِہِۡ ؕ و َ ہُو َ الۡعَزِیۡز ُ الۡحَکِیۡم ُ ﴿﴾ یَلۡحَقُوۡا ب “He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people a Messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His Signs, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom, although they had been, before, in manifest misguidance;” “And among others from among them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise. ” (62[Al - Jumu‘ah]:3 -4)
