(American Edition) 48 Death of Jesus a s Prophet 9) َِّۡی ۤاَرۡسَلۡنَا قَبۡلَک َ مِن َ الۡمُرۡسَل َ ِفِ و َ مَا َُہُۡ لَیَاۡکُلُوۡن َ الطَعَام َ و َ یَمۡشُوۡن ِۡل َۤ اِن ا ﴾ ٪ ﴿ ِۡیًۡا ٰۡبُِوۡن َ ۚ وَکَانَ رَبُک َ بَص ً ؕ اَتَص ِ ؕ و َ جَعَلۡنَا بَعۡضَکُم ۡ لِبَعۡض ٍ فِتۡنَۃ ۡلَۡسۡوَاق ا * “And We never sent any Messengers before thee but surely they ate food and walked in the streets. And We make some of you a trial for others. Will you then be steadfast? And thy Lord is All- Seeing. ” (25[Al - Furqān]:21) 10) ِلِِیۡن َ ﴿﴾ ی ۡل َ یَاۡکُلُوۡن َ الطَعَام َ وَمَا کَانُوۡا خ ُہُۡ جَسَدًا ی وَمَا جَعَلۡن * “And We did not give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they to live forever. ” (21[Al - Anbiyā]:9) 11) ۡ ُ ؕ اَفَا۠ئِن ۡ مَات َ اَو ۡ قُتِل َ ان ِۡلِِ الرُسُل ٌ ۚ قَد ۡ خَلَت ۡ مِن ۡ قَب ِۡل َ رَسُوۡل ۡ وَمَا مُحَمَد ٌ ا ؕ قَلَبۡتُم َ شَیۡئًا ّلل ی عَقِبَیۡہ ِ فَلَن ۡ یَضُر َ ا َٰۤلی ۡ ؕ وَمَن ۡ یَنۡقَلِب ۡ ع اَعۡقَابِکُم َٰۤلی ع ُ ّلل ی وَسَیَجۡزِی ا کِرِیۡن َ ﴿﴾ ی الش * “And Muḥ ammad is only a Messenger. Verily, all Messengers have passed away before him. If then he die or be slain, will you turn back on your heels? And he who turns back on his heels shall not harm Allāh at all. And Allāh will certainly reward the grateful. ” (3[ Āl Imrān ]:145) 12) َ تِلۡک ُ ا ٌ مَۃ ۡ قَد ۡ خَلَت ۚ َ لَہ ۡ ا مَا کَسَبَت ۡ و َ لَکُم ۡ مَا کَسَبۡتُم ۚ َۡل َ و ۡ تُسۡـَلُو ۡ ن َ عَمَا کَانُو ا َ ی ۡ عۡمَلُو َ ن ﴿﴾ * “Those are a people that have passed away; for them is what they earned, and for you shall be what you earn; and you shall not be questioned as to what they did. ” (2[Al -Baqarah]:135) 13) ٌ َمَا کَان َ مُحَمَد ِّی َٖ ؕ و َ کَان ِ و َ خَاتَم َ النَب ّلل ی کِن ۡ رَسُوۡل َ ا ی اَبَاۤاَحَد ٍ مِن ۡ رِجَالِکُم ۡ وَل
