(American Edition) 32 Now we have the fifth Khalīfa of the Promised Messiah so Bai‘at should be done at his hand. Bai‘at should also be done in writing so that names of the believers can be registered. The Bai‘at form is then given to the president of the local Jamā‘at of the new A ḥmadī for further action. 7. Faith Comes First “I will give precedence to my faith over all worldly objects. ” The verse below makes it clear that the love of Allāh and His Me ssenger should reign supreme over everything else: ِ ۡ قُل ۡ ا ن ی َٓاکَان َ ا َ ب َٓاؤُکُم ۡ وَا ِ بۡن َ ؤُکُم ۡ وَا ِۡیَۡ خۡوَانُکُم ۡ وَا ۡ زۡوَاجُکُم ۡ وَعَش َ تُکُم ُوَا مۡوَال ۡ َۡتََفۡتُمُو اق َ ہ ٌ ا وَتِجَارَۃ َ تَخۡشَوۡن َ کَسَادَہ ی ا وَمَس َ کِن ُ تَرۡضَوۡنَہ َ ا ۤ ا ِ حَب َ ا ۡ لَی ۡ کُم ۡ ِ وَرَسُو ّلل ی مِن َ ا ِٖ ل َ وَجِہ ِِۡف ٍ اد ۡ سَبِی ِِٖل ۡ ََتََبَصُو ف َِت ی ا ح َ ی ۡ ا َِ ت َ ُ بِا ّلل ی ا ٖ مۡرِہ ؕ َۡل ُ ّلل ی وَا َ ی ۡ ہ دِی ی الۡقَوۡم َ الۡف َِّۡی سِق ٪ ﴿ ﴾ “Say, if your fathers, and your sons, and your brethren, and your wives, and your kinsfolk, and the wealth you have acquired, and the trade whose dullness you fear, and the dwellings which you love are dearer to you than Allāh and His Messenger and striving in His cause, then wait until Allāh comes with His judgment; and Allāh guides not the disobedient people. ” (9[Al - Taubah]:24) 8. Loyalty a nd Obedience t o t he Institution o f Khilāfat “I will always remain loyal to the institution of Khilāfat in A ḥ madiyyat, and will obey you as Khalīfatul - Masī ḥ in everything good that you may require of me. ” Explaining the above declaration, the Holy Qur’ān states: ۡ ۡ ۚ فَاِن ۡلَۡمۡر ِ مِنۡکُم ٰلِ ا َ وَاَطِیۡعُوا الرَسُوۡل َ و َ اُو ّلل ی مَنُوۡۤا اَطِیۡعُوا ا ی ّل َِیۡن َ ا ُ ییاَیُہَا ا ِ وَالرَسُوۡل ِاِن ۡ کُنۡتُم ۡ ت ّلل ی ِٰلَ ا ۡ ِفِۡ َشَۡء ٍ فَرُدُوۡہ ُ ا ِ ؕ تَنَازَعۡتُم خِر ۡلۡی ِ وَالۡیَوۡم ِ ا ّلل ی ؤۡمِنُوۡن َ بِا ﴾ ٪ ًۡلً ﴿ َۡیٌۡ و َ اَحۡسَن ُ تَاۡوِی لِک َ خ ی ذ “O ye who believe! obey Allāh, and obey His Messenger and those who are in authority among you. And if you differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to Allāh and H is Messenger if you are believers in Allāh and the Last Day. That is best and most commendable in the end. ” (4 [Al-Nis ā] :60) The following Ḥadīth confirms the above verse.
