(American Edition) 33 ِ َِضَِ ہللا ُ عَنْہ ُ : اَن َّ رَسُوْل َ ہللا عَن ْ اَب ِْ ھُرَیْرَۃ َ ر ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص َ ُ قَال َ مَن ْ اَطَاع ِنِْ فَقَد ْ اَطَاع َ ہللا ، ْ ََصَ اَم ِْیِْی ْ فَقَد ََصَ ہللا َ وَمَن ْ اَطَاع َ اَم ِْیِْی ْ فَقَد ْ اَطَاع َِنِْ، وَمَن ْ ع ِنِْ فَقَد ْ ع وَمَن ْ عَصَا عَصَا ِنِْ. Ḥ a ḍrat Abū Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allāh said: Whoso obeys me obeys Allāh; and whoever d isobeys me, disobeys Allāh; and whoever obeys my Amīr , obeys me, and whoever disobeys my Amīr, disobeys me. ” (Bukhārī, Kitābul - A ḥkām) In another Ḥadīth it is stated: ِ َ َسَِعْت ُ رَسُوْل َ ہللا عَن ْ اَب ِْ ھُرَیْرَۃ َ قَال ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص َُ َ یَقُوْل ُ مَن ْ خَرَج َ مِن ْ الطَّاعَۃ و فَار ا الْجَمَاعَۃ َ فَمَات َ مَيْتَۃ ا جَاھليَّۃ “I heard the Messenger of Allāh say, “Whoso goes out of allegiance and keeps himself separate from the united body, dies a death of the D ays of Ignorance. ” (Mishk ā tul-Ma ṣā b ī h, Allegiance and Rebellion) Hence, obedience to the Imām of the time is obedience to the Holy Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) which in turn qualifies as obedience to Allāh. Therefore, we should always keep in touch with the Kha līfa and do our best to follow his instructions. One method to keep in touch with him is to write to him regularly requesting prayers. 9. Seeking Forgiveness f rom Allāh The ninth point is to seek forgiveness from Allāh for our sins. ُ ْتَغْفِر ُ ہللا َ رَب ٍِّ مِن ْ ک ٍُِّ ذَنْب ٍ و َّ اَتُوْب اَس ِ اِلَيْہ I beg pardon from Allāh, my Lord, for all my sins and turn to Him. َّ ْٰلِْ ذُنُوْب ِْ فَاِنَّہ ُ ل َ یَغْفِر ُ ا َّلُّنُوْب َ اِل ِْبِْ فَاغْفِر ِْسِْ وَاع ْرَتََفْت ُ بِذَن ِِنِْ ظَلَمْت ُ نَف َرَب ٍِّ ا َ ا نْت O my Lord, my Allāh, I wronged my soul and confess all my sins; pray, forgive me my sins, for there is none else except Thee to forgive. As the Holy Qur’ān states: ۡ ّل َِی ۡ وَا ً ن َ اِذَا فَعَلُو ۡۤا فَاحِشَۃ َُہُۡ اَو ۡ ظَلَمُو َ ا اَنۡفُس ّلل ی ۡذَکَرُوا ا ۡ فَاسۡتَغۡفَرُو ّلُِنُو ُِہِۡ ا ب ۪ ۡ وَمَن َ ی ۡ ّل ُنُو غۡفِر ُ ا َ ِۡل ب َ ا ُ ّلل ی ا ۡ وَلَم ُ ی ۡ صِرُو َٰۤلی ا ع ۡ مَا فَعَلُو ُ ا وَہ َ م ۡ ی ۡ عۡلَمُو َ ن ُ ﴿﴾ا ٰٓ ول َ ئِک
